With our simple web-based charity fundraising application you can easily donate to the organization(s) you support from your pocket change.
With every purchase or bank transaction you make with the bank account, credit card or debit card linked to the app a roundup (to the nearest dollar) is automatically generated and given to support the organizations and causes that matter most to you.
With every transaction, round up your change to fund the organizations and causes that matter most to you
Donate Your Change is dedicated to re-energizing charity fundraising efforts for non-profit organizations engaged in making a positive difference in our culture, both in the US and Canada. We are particularly interested in supporting non-profits engaged in providing food and shelter for the poor, finding cures for diseases, and those that are providing encouragement and vocational training for the under-employed or unemployed.
We do this by utilizing a web-based roundup software application that is unique to the charity fundraising industry and highly sustainable. Funds are generated without requiring donors to change anything about their lifestyle or day-to-day activities. And funds are generated 365 days a year, 24/7. All funds generated by the software are tax deductible as our clients are tax-exempt organizations.
We believe small change can produce a big impact. Charity fundraising no longer has to be restricted to those with large bank accounts. Virtually anyone at any income level can participate as a donor using our software.
The Donate Your Change web-based application rounds up everyday banking transactions made by your organization’s donors to the nearest dollar when they link it to the credit/debit card or bank account of their choice. These small-change, micro donations are then used to fund the non-profit of their choice, provided it is licensed to use our software. Donors can set a daily limit for how much they want to round up and create as many roundup accounts as they have bank accounts. They simply set it and forget it. Roundups occur automatically with every transaction after that. This helps eliminate donor fatigue for both the donor and the organization.
About our security
The Donate Your Change app was developed and integrated with the Finicity® database network of banks/credit card companies. In order to be approved for integration with and have access to its database of banks and credit card companies, our app underwent a very thorough security screening process by a third-party security firm, “Cigital, Inc.”

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How do I get started?
If you’re a donor, simply click on the “log in/sign-up” link on our website and select from the drop-down menu the organization you wish to support. If you’re a nonprofit organization, use the “contact” link to request a phone call or online/in-person demonstration of our software.
What are the costs to sign up?
For a donor, there is no cost to sign up. Contact us directly to inquire about signup and licensing fees for nonprofit organizations.
Are the roundup donations tax deductible?
Yes. Every organization on the approved list to receive donations is a tax-deductible organization.
Is my bank account information secure?
All bank account information is encrypted, as with any secure online banking transaction. The app has been integrated with the Finicity® database. No donor bank account information is stored on our company server or by the organization receiving the donations.
Can I turn off or set limits on my roundups?
Yes, the donor has total control over how much to round up and can turn the app off and on at any time by setting the roundup limit to zero.
Can I see my roundups in real time?
Yes. The donor can see the bank transactions and associated roundup amounts in real time. The receiving organization can also track each roundup donation made to them by their donors, but not where the roundup occurred.
How are the donations generated?
The donations are generated when a donor links a bank account/credit/debit card to the app from our website and designates an approved organization to receive their roundup donations. Once linked, every transaction made with that linked account automatically rounds up to the nearest dollar. Everywhere your card is accepted, the roundups are generated. Every online transaction linked to the app also generates a roundup donation.
Can I select more than one bank account or credit card to make donations with?
Yes. The app can be linked to as many bank accounts as you own.
How do I know my money goes to the organization I’ve chosen to support?
You will receive statements from the organization(s) you support that show the amount you donated through your Donate Your Change RoundUp Giving account. The frequency of these reports is solely dependent on the accounting practices of the receiving organization.
I’m already writing a check to several organizations. Why should I give more?
This system is not meant to replace existing giving programs. By stewarding “loose change,” you participate with other roundup givers in creating a big impact for the organization(s) you support and significant revenue.
Will my personal information be given to any other/third parties?
No. Your information will only be shared with the organizations to which you donate. Information about your spending habits and where you spend is not transparent or stored or sold to any outside agencies.
Can I split my roundup between multiple organizations?
Not with a single roundup account. However, you many open as many roundup accounts as you like using different bank and or credit/debit card accounts. If, for example, you have four credit/debit cards and two bank accounts, you have potential for six roundup giving accounts.
What is the expected impact of the Donate Your Change RoundUp Giving program?
The current average Donate Your Change roundup account yields $1.75 per day. A collective set of 1.6 million roundup accounts, a goal Donate Your Change believes is achievable given some of the large donor bases of existing licensees, could generate revenue of $1 billion for our organizations in three years.
What kind of user experience can I expect?
Donate Your Change RoundUp Giving offers complete control. It’s a secure, convenient, flexible giving platform and you have complete control and opportunity for real-time review. We believe roundup users will appreciate the ease and overall impact for the organizations they support and choose to do more using all their transactional accounts.
Can I find the Donate Your Change app in the Apple® App Store or Google™ Play Store?
The Donate Your Change app is a web-based application. It’s free and always available online at donateyourchange.net. No download necessary.
